THE COURT ROYAL HOTEL, NORTHLANDS ROAD
Further to our recent post about Roger Moore once living in Chilworth, this was probably a rented house while his then wife, singer Dorothy Squires, had a residency at The Court Royal Hotel in the 1960s.
My grandad Gordon Hiscott was Head Chef of the hotel at the time. Another distinguished entertainer who had a residency during this period was Nat Gonella, known as The British Louis Armstrong.
