Chatbot

Southampton City Council has launched ‘Chatbot’ which is an artificial intelligence digital assistant. It has been introduced to help people get answers to questions relating to a number of Council Services quickly, including key online services, news and information from Southampton City Council.

3. REPORTING A NOISE  ‘NUISANCE’

If you can, it might be useful to approach the ‘nuisance’ directly in the first instance either through direct conversation, if possible, or a polite note through the door explaining your situation if you do not know the person concerned.

To report a nuisance to Southampton City Council, click on: https://www.southampton.gov.uk/environmental-issues/

Then select  ‘Report a noise nuisance’ from the list in Item (3) below. If you click on the latter, you can select the type of noise and then send your problem details directly to the Department with responsiblity.

If the above proves unsuccessful, you could contact one of your local Councillors (see Politicians).

 

4. REPORTING AN ENVIRONMENTAL OR OTHER RELATED ISSUE

5. REPORTING HAZARDOUS WASTE (for example needles, spillages…), AND ANYTHING THAT DOES NOT FALL WITHIN THE POLICE REMIT BUT HAS LINKS TO CRIME AND ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR (fly tipping, car parking, dog fouling, dead animals, spillages, broken glass or other dangerous items you have seen on a road, pavement or public space)

Instances of fly tipping, dog fouling, dead animals, spillages, broken glass, fly posting, grafitti or other dangerous items you have seen on a road, pavement or public space in Southampton can be reported as a street cleaning problem. See also ‘Street Cleaning’ on (4) above.

Note: SCC say they aim to deal with at least 75% of urgent requests within one working day of them being reported.

 

6. REPORTING A CONCERN ABOUT A PROPERTY

If a property has become very dirty, with possible rodent infestations, or possessions are being hoarded, potentially creating difficulty accessing the property, report your concerns about a property here.
