Thankful Joy (son of Thankful Joy) is buried in the Old Cemetery. He was landlord of three pubs – The Bellemoor, The Cowherds and The Railway Tavern. Of the three only the Railway Tavern no longer exists because it was destroyed during WW2. However, both it and Thankful are remembered, in writing, in front of Central Station.
