This is the grave in Southampton Old Cemetery of William Spranger – a philanthropist, best remembered for restoring the Tudor House, which became the town’s first museum in 1912.
This is the grave in the Old Cemetery of William Spranger. He was a philanthropist – generous with his time as well as his money – but undoubtedly best remembered for restoring the Tudor House which became the town’s first museum in 1912. (Apparently, if you are contemplating burial, granite is the best option for a memorial stone because, as in this case, it stands the test of time.)
