Review by Local Government Boundary Commission for England on an additional ward and 3 extra Councillors for Southampton – Public Consultation runs to 31/1/22

Southampton City Council are asking local people and organisations for their help in drawing up new ward boundaries across Southampton. They are about to draw up a new pattern of wards to accommodate 51 Councillors, which the Local Government Boundary Commission is minded to recommend.
The review is being conducted by the Local Government Boundary Commission for England. The Commission is recommending that the Council’s size needs to increase and is consulting on the public’s views on an additional ward and 3 extra councillors for Southampton, taking Southampton to 17 wards and 51 councillors from the current size of 16 wards and 48 councillors. The information is in the link below. They need your help to tell them where the new boundaries should be drawn. The Public Consultation runs to 31 January 2022.
