DESCRIPTION:7 pm Sunday 8 May 2016 \nJane Falkingham on Population Growth — should we be worried? \nProfessor Jane Falkingham has been one of the leading voices on population studies and demographic change in recent years. For her services to Social Science she was awarded an OBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours in 2015. She is Director of the Social and Economic Research Council and Vice-President of the British Society of Population Studies\, as well as Dean of the faculty of Social\, Human and Mathematical Sciences here at Southampton University.  \nWe are delighted that for our first meeting in the new year\, Jane Falkingham has agreed to talk to us on this subject of world-wide significance. \nWe hope that many people will come to hear what she has to say.  \n \nHosted by South Hampshire Humanists. We meet as usual in The Pavilion at the Residents’ Gardens\, 13 Abbotts Way in Highfield.  All Welcome.
