SUMMARY:Culture Café Event - Southampton University's Student Union\, Building 42
DESCRIPTION:Following 2013’s Campus of Culture event and 2014’s Culture Café\, this year’s Culture Café is being held on Thursday 4th June at 3pm-6pm in SUSU’s Bar 2\, building 42. The event is open to anyone with a passion for the Arts\, and this year’s event will focus around the theme “the future of the Arts”. Please feel free to circulate to friends\, colleagues and students and encourage them to register for what promises to be a very interesting and engaging event. \nDiscussion points will include:\nWhat is the future of the Arts?\nWhat if Arts funding is cut?\nWhat is the future of Arts in Southampton? \nPlease come along and join the discussion. \nIf you are interested in attending\, please join the event on facebook here. Please note that space is limited. \nPlease see below for the programme of events: \nSection 1: Concourse\, Building 42\, University Road\, Southampton. \n3:00 – 3:50 – exhibition of students’ creative work.  \nSection 2: Bar 2\, Building 42\, University Road\, Southampton. \n3:50 – 4:00 – Refreshments and registration. \n4:00 – 4:10 – Introduction\n4:10 – 4:20 – Amy Ashenden presents excerpts from her documentary\, Working for Nothing\, which asks whether unpaid internships are useful\, inevitable and fair.\n4:20 – 4:40 – Sam Hodges\, Director and Chief Executive at The Nuffield Theatre discusses the future of Arts in Southampton\, and the impact the new Arts complex will have on the city. \n4:40 – 5:55 – Table discussions – conversations on various issues surrounding the future of the Arts. \nSection 3: Bar 2\, Building 42\, University Road\, Southampton. \n6:00 – 9pm – Networking \nIf the programme isn’t enticing enough\, we’ve ordered some delicious petit fours for the occasion.  \nIf you are interested in attending and haven’t already registered\, please join the event on facebook here.
