SUMMARY:Environmental Rock Southampton - annual family friendly Eco Festival
DESCRIPTION:Entertainment Grows Green on the Southampton Scene \nEnvironmental Rock\, Southampton’s annual family- friendly Eco Festival\, returns on Monday 25th May 2015! Situated in the Hobbit Pub in Bevois Valley\, Southampton\, this unique festival is dedicated to promoting environmental awareness and sustainable living. With a spectrum of entertainment\, including some of the best local bands\, Environmental Rock is open to all\, whether you are a student or a local resident\, and families are welcome. \nAn all-day event\, Environmental Rock opens at 12:00 noon\, and will go on all day till 11:00pm (children from 12:00-6:00pm only). Throughout the day\, live music from local bands will create a vibrant and colourful atmosphere while the pub garden offers a wide diversity of activities\, information and education on a range of environmental issues\, for all ages. You will have the opportunity to engage with the many enthusiastic community members\, organizations\, and businesses that are part of a network focused on developing and sustaining a healthy environment\, community\, and economy. \nStalls will be run by a wide variety of local and national environmental groups and organisations\, including Hampshire Conservation Volunteers\, Green Action\, the Bug Shack\, Sea Shepherds and more. Visitors can enjoy lively music from great bands\, including Sot’on Ukelele Jam (playing from 2:00-2:30pm) and Bumbleberry Folk Collective (4:30-5:00pm). Delicious food\, including vegetarian and vegan\, is available all day from several different stalls. Fun and interactive childrens’ activities such as face painting and a bouncy castle will also be available\, for a green day out with all the family! \nThere will be a variety of exciting prizes donated by local sustainable companies to be won in our Raffle\, for which the prize draw will take place at 4.30pm on Environmental Rock day.
