DESCRIPTION:Southampton BioBlitz is a free event bringing together the local community and nature experts to explore local wildlife. \nSouthampton BioBlitz is an event for everyone – families\, students\, staff\, and local nature experts come together to explore the animal and plant life on the Highfield campus and adjacent area of the Common. \nThe first ever Southampton BioBlitz was held in June 2014\, with over a hundred people taking part. In 2015 the event returns bigger and better. As well as guided walks searching for bats\, birds\, butterflies and much more\, there will also be face-painting\, photography and activities for all the family to enjoy. \nThis event is brought to you in partnership by Southampton City Council\, University of Southampton\, University of Southampton Students’ Union (SUSU) and Southampton Natural History Society. \nMeet Southampton BioBlitz  Southampton Common |  5th June 2015 – 6th June 2015\nAdd to Google Calendar | Add to Outlook\, iCal\, etc.\nAdmission Type: Free  \n  NextPrevious\nSouthampton BioBlitz \nFriday 5 and Saturday 6 June 2015\n\nJoin us for BioBlitz Southampton on Southampton Common and Southampton University Garden. SO17 1BJ\n\nA “BioBlitz” is a great outdoor\, community event where expert naturalists and members of the public work together to do a fast survey of all forms of life in a natural space. It’s a race to find as many different species of plants\, birds\, insects\, fungi\, mammals\, and everything else as possible.\n\n\nSouthampton BioBlitz is a  FREE family event  to celebrate and record Southampton’s wildlife.
