Remembering Benny Hill in the grounds of Richard Taunton Sixth Form College, Hill Lane – it looks rather neglected….

Benny Hill’s rather neglected, simple plaque in the grounds of Richard Taunton Sixth Form College in Hill Lane. This building was originally built as the Girls Grammar School in 1936. In Benny’s day Tauntons was on the other side of the Common in premises now part of Southampton University. He kept his family home at 22, Westrow Gardens until he died in 1992. He is buried at Hollybrook Cemetery.
