Hampshire Constabulary Media Release

Police are issuing CCTV images in an appeal for information as an investigation continues into a robbery at a Post Office in the Portswood area of Southampton.

Three masked men went into a branch on Portswood Road at 9.20am on Friday, April 17, 2015 and stole cash from the tills.

The Post Office is offering a £4,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.

Initial enquires suggest a silver Vauxhall Astra had been driven into Addis Square behind the Post Office.

Three men left the car, and a fourth man remained inside.

The three robbers forced their way behind the counter before making off with a grey/black cashiers tray containing a large quantity of money.

After the robbery, the silver Vauxhall Astra was seen being driven away in the direction of Brookvale Road.

Three suspects were described as:

1) A white man, 5 ft 7 ins tall, stocky build, wearing an orange bandana

2) A white man, 5 ft 7 ins tall, stocky build, wearing a black hooded top with a face covering.

3) A white man, skinny build, wearing a grey hooded top, and some type of white mask/scarf across his face.

No one was injured during the robbery.
