Some interesting background to David Lockhart Court in Westwood Road

DAVID LOCKHART COURT is a block of flats at the Brookvale Road end of Westwood Road, Portswood. The block was built with the involvement of the Portswood Evangelical Church and was completed in 1984. It was named after Doctor David Lockhart who came to Southampton in 1933 to take up a post at the Royal South Hants Hospital and who subsequently devoted much of his time to the church.
