There is a Lucy box along the Avenue, near to the Cowherds. This is a cast iron box, decorated with the city’s coat of arms. They are found on pavements throughout the city. These boxes were originally used in connection with the tram network and then with the trolley bus network; and as part of the general electricity supply network; and for telephone purposes.
