Vounteers required for Students Union ‘Shift your Stuff’ project in late June/early July

Hello Everyone,

At the students’ union, we want to help students, the local community, and the environment around the hectic moving period when students move out of halls of residences into houses or out of old houses into new ones (late June / early July). So we have collaborated with the city council, residents associations, and local charities to bring you our project, Shift Your Stuff. But we need volunteers to help make this happen! (We’ll thank you with a social and free pizza!)

Volunteers are needed for the new Shift Your Stuff project being organised by the students’ union.

Shift Your Stuff is making it easier for students to donate unwanted items and reduce waste at the end of the year. The project will help reduce the stress of moving house and bring students and the community together whilst reducing impact on the local environment and supporting local charities!

Volunteers are needed to help sort through the donated red bags to ensure that that right items are going to the right charity! Come along for the opportunity to donate a few hours of your time, meet some likeminded people and have some fun!

If you are able to come along on Thursday 11th June or Tuesday 30th June to University of Southampton Highfield Campus please sign up by clicking here or emailing EandE@soton.ac.uk

Full guidance and support will be given on the day.

All volunteers will be rewarded with an evening social at the end of the day in the students’ union stags bar with free pizza and drinks!
