Two new CCTV cameras for Portswood High Street

A successful bid for £1m of funding from the Government’s Safer Streets fund by Donna Jones, Hampshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner, included two new CCTV cameras for Portswood High Street to combat anti-social behavour, thefts, street robbery and other offences. One CCTV camera will be outside Roebridge Farm Shop facing Westridge Road; the other outside the Library opposite St Denys Road.  

Existing CCTV cameras are one located outside Coffee#1 and two outside Sainsburys, although the latter are currently decommissioned. It is understood that these might belong to Sainsburys and the Council is working with Sainsburys to get them back online.
