Hi All
Here’s what’s happening in the coming week. Check out the extras coming up, as highlighted after this note. This is the last week of the year for many Cafés so do read the information for closures and re-opening dates. We hope some of you will be able to join us for our Christmas service on Tuesday 17th December, and for those who can’t and enjoy singing carols and hearing the Christmas story, maybe check out what’s happening at your local church this Christmas.
If you enjoy Christmas films there is another inclusive cinema showing at Harbour Lights in Southampton, details below.

Singing By Heart
Hedge End Salvation Army, White’s Way, SO30 2GL.
11.00-12.45 with lunch after.
Singing by Heart is an hour session singing a mixture of Christian songs and well-known secular songs that people with dementia will know and be able to interact with. We will have a Christmas celebration and lunch today.

10 till 12 midday, every Monday morning, start the week with a friendly coffee and chat session, activities too.

LAST MEET of the year this week, 18th December for a bring and share Christmas buffet lunch. They re-open on Weds 8th January 2025.
Omega Café: Drop in anytime from 10 until 12. Free tea, coffee, cake, and chat.
Armchair exercise: Starts at 10am for about 25 minutes. Led by a qualified instructor; light exercise whilst still sitting! Donations welcome.
Community Lunch: At Midday. Food varies between jacket potatoes, ploughman’s, quiche, soup, breakfast rolls and pizza to name a few. Donations welcome.

Meet @ the Hawthorns Café, SO15 7NN, Southampton Common at 9am. The meet point is by the start of park run between 2 oak trees close to Hawthorns but not outside it, look for the steward in high vis jacket labelled “Park Walker”. All Welcome! For a gentle 5km walk around the Common, many go to Hawthorns Café for a coffee and chat after.
