As part of the Green Homes & Business Open Day, on Thursday 18 October from 10.30am to 3.30pm, they will be joining forces with the Southampton Climate Action Network and opening their doors for another free event embracing ‘Second Hand September’ and the ‘Green Open Homes and Businesses 2025’ initiatives.

The Sewing Hub will be “welcoming visitors and encouraging them to actively take part in mending/altering the items they bring. Along with support and access to machines and equipment, textiles, ribbons, trims etc. people will be able to relax and ‘sewcialise’ if they wish. Refreshments will be provided (donations would be great).”

They “will also be encouraging discussion about fast fashion and its impact on society and the environment as well as inviting feedback on future events, workshops etc.”
