Hi All
The clocks have changed and the days are shorter, but our cafes are still open each week along with a few extras for you to be aware of. Check our weekly email for where and when and we hope to see you there.
Reframing Dementia – a new group starts next week for those with a recent diagnosis of dementia and will meet on the 1st & 3rd Monday of the week.
Carers Right’s Day Friday 21st November. A few tickets left.
Date for your diary – we invite you to join us for our Christmas Service at 6pm on Tuesday 9th December at St. James Methodist Church, Shirley.
Carers Course – new course begins on Tuesday 6th January 2026.

Reframing Dementia
Starts this Monday, 3rd November. A safe place for those who have recently received a diagnosis of dementia. Carers can go for a free cuppa next door in the Church. More details above or contact Karen or Dave for further information.

Carers Right’s Day
Friday 21st November, 10am to 2pm at Portswood Church. A one stop shop for all carers needs. There are a few tickets left at time of emailing. This is an event for Unpaid Carers who are registered with their service. They kindly ask that you do not book a ticket if you are not registered with Unpaid Carers Support Southampton. Men’s Meets – Tuesday 4th November
For all men, caring for someone living with dementia. We would love you to join us for a walk and a catch up. We will meet at the Cowherds on the Common at 1pm for a short stroll, back to the Cowherds for some lunch and chat and should be finished by 3pm. Singing By Heart
Hedge End Salvation Army, White’s Way SO30 2GL
11.00-12.45 with light refreshments after. School term time only.
Singing by Heart is an hour session singing a mixture of Christian songs and well-known secular songs that people with dementia will know and be able to interact with. Thornhill Memory Café

Community Lunch: At Midday. Food varies between jacket potatoes, ploughman’s, quiche, soup, breakfast rolls and pizza to name a few. Donations welcome.
