I am writing to provide an update regarding the protest that took place on Friday, 7th November.
The event involved both demonstrators and counter-protestors. Police officers were present throughout to ensure public safety and maintain an orderly environment. I can confirm that no arrests were made, and there was no requirement for the use of additional policing powers.
We continue to monitor the situation closely and remain in regular contact with community representatives to ensure that any future gatherings are managed safely and proportionately.
At this stage, it is anticipated that protests at this location may continue on a weekly basis. A proportionate policing plan remains in place, and we will continue working collaboratively with you and the wider community to minimise disruption and maintain public safety.
