There was a good turnout yesterday (21/1/26) for the ‘Community Objection Walk’, considering the rain…

The walk was from the Avenue Campus to the George Thomas Administration Building 37 on the University main campus. This included all three Portswood Ward Councillors, working cross-party, who led the procession, some HRA members and officers and other local residents – all working collectively to protest against the proposal to build 400+ student accommodation rooms in large blocks on the green space and car park of the Avenue Campus site in Highfield Road.
