We’ve got some fun things happening across our memory cafes this month so hope you can join us. This week’s memory cafes are listed below, along with other cafes or things happening across the city.
There is another survey for you to join in with, looking at support for those living with dementia and their carers. Check out more information below along with the link to join the survey.

Dementia Strategy Survey
The Hampshire & Isle of Wight Dementia Alliance is a collaborative network of organisations, professionals, carers, and people living with dementia. Its aim is to improve dementia support and shape the local Dementia Strategy through partnership working, shared learning, and meaningful co production. The Alliance brings together health, social care, voluntary and community partners, and people with lived experience to strengthen prevention, diagnosis, support, and community inclusion across the region.
We’re also gathering insight from people who are affected by dementia, whether diagnosed or suspected, and those who support them.

Quiz Night
The Stile Inn, 224 Shirley Rd, Southampton SO15 3HR, hosts a quiz night every second Wednesday of the month with their next one due on Tuesday, 11th March. It’s from 8-10pm, £2 per team of up to 6 people and they will be raising funds for Caraway. Do pop along and test your knowledge.

Singing By Heart
2nd Monday of the month at Hedge End Salvation Army, White’s Way, SO30 2GL.
11.00-12.45 with light lunch after. School term time only.
Singing by Heart is an hour session singing a mixture of Christian songs and well-known secular songs that people with dementia will know and be able to interact with. It includes a Bible verse before each song and one line prayer after each song and ends each session with The Lord’s Prayer. Contact lynne.sillence@gmail.com or 07974 372207

Donations only for meal that is followed by a brief devotion including a hymn.

Omega Café: Drop in anytime from 10 until 12. Free tea, coffee, cake, and chat.
Armchair exercise: Starts at 10am for about 25 minutes. Led by a qualified instructor; light exercise whilst still sitting! Donations welcome.
Community Lunch: At Midday. Food varies between jacket potatoes, ploughman’s, quiche, soup, breakfast rolls and pizza to name a few. Donations welcome.
