As part of the HRA@50 celebrations, we are inviting members to take part in a light hearted free-to-enter photo competition. The idea is you will take some photographs on your phone and send them in an email as a JPEG, HEIC or similar image file along with the following details: Your Name; Membership Number; Title of Photo; Category; Date taken. Send to HRA.HonSec@gmail.com
There will be 6 categories. Photos will be collected, published on the HRA website anonymously throughout the competition months and then judged by a small guest panel. The best three in each category will be printed and on display at the HRA sponsored Art for Arts Sake Exhibition to be held on 22 and 23 August at Avenue St Andrews Church Hall.
Here are the rules:
1. The competition is open to HRA members, including children

3. The competition runs from 1 April to 30 June 2026
4. All photos must be taken on a mobile phone during the competition period
5. Colour or monochrome
6. Up to two photos in each category can be submitted per member each month to reflect seasonal changes
7. No use of advanced photo editing eg Photoshop etc.
8. Submission of a photo means that HRA can publish your name, that photo or display it in the Exhibition
9. If taking photos of people, their consent to publish is assumed
10. Completed details must accompany each submission
