Update from Southampton City Council on the results of the Local Elections on May 7th

“Yesterday, residents across Southampton went to the polls to choose councillors in 17 of the 51 council seats, one for each of the 17 wards in the city.
Following the conclusion of the election, no political party has a majority of seats on the council. The Labour Party remains the largest party on the council controlling 24 seats with the council in No Overall Control.
The full make-up of the council is now as follows:
Labour: 24
Reform UK: 8
Liberal Democrat: 7
Conservative: 6
Green: 6
