When HRA members attended a HRA@50 re-visit on Sunday 14 June 2026 of Portswood Rec and our HonSec took these photos! Thank you Friends of Portswood Rec!

!Last week we had 6 visitors to the garden, which was fortunately putting on its best show. They were from Highfield Residents Association, who were doing a return visit as part of their 50th anniversary celebrations, and from West Solent Solar Energy Cooperative. The latter very kindly gave us a grant for £200 which we have spent on a water bowser, compost bins, sparrow boxes and a variety of plants. They were keen to see how their contribution was being used to benefit wildlife and community engagement at the Rec. We think both parties were impressed with what we’ve achieved.
