Many enjoyed our recent Holiday@Home events, enjoying all things Irish. Shirley Memory cafe ‘go to Ireland’ on Monday afternoon. As a team we enjoyed sharing afternoon tea with many of our volunteers this week, time for us to say thank you for all the wonderful work they do for all of you on Caraway’s behalf. They are a wonderful group of people, many who you know from our Memory cafes.
It’s our final Reframing Dementia on Monday and we will return in September with our new 12 week course, Living Well with Dementia. See more information below and book your place if this is something for you. And for those of you who are new carers check out our Carers Course starting in September – information below.

Reframing Dementia
Meets for the final time on MONDAY 20th July. More details above or contact Karen or Dave for further information. You can just turn up on the day. We take a break for the summer and will then restart in September with our new course, information below.

Have you been recently diagnosed with dementia? An opportunity for you to come and share with others about what this means for you and learn how you can live well with your dementia. This course will start on Wednesday 2nd September, 10-11.30am and continue to meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month for 12 sessions. We have our next Course for Carers starting in September at Sholing. If you are caring for someone who has recently received a diagnosis of dementia then we invite you to come along to these seven sessions. For more information check our website. Carers, are you registered with Unpaid Carers in Southampton, the council backed organisation to help you? Do you have a carers card which gives you discounts? Do you need help and advice about a range of topics from Carers rights, and would you like to join the carers choir or their bowling sessions?

Men’s Meets
For all men, caring for someone living with dementia. We would love you to join us for a walk and a catch up. We will meet at the Cowherds on the Common on Wednesday 22nd July at 1pm for a short stroll, back to the Cowherds for some lunch and chat and should be finished by 3pm. Townhill Park Memory Café
Townhill Farm Community Centre, Wessex Road, Townhill Park, SO18 3RA.
1-3pm, meets the 3rd Monday of the month. You’ll always be sure of a warm welcome. A chance to relax and chatter with other attendees while having a tea, coffee, cold drink.
