Hi All
We have two courses starting in September, Living Well with Dementia, for anyone who has recently received a dementia diagnosis and our next Course for those caring with someone living with dementia. More details below.
Cafes meeting next week include Sholing & Lordshill, both have Gary Matthews coming along to lead some singing and Chai & Chat meet at The Wickets – this group is for anyone, not just residents, and they meet in their community lounge – do pop along if you’re able. More information on all these are below.

This group will start on Wednesday 2nd September, 10-11.30am and continue to meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month. Do you need help and advice about a range of topics from Carers rights, and would you like to join the carers choir or their bowling sessions?

AgeUK in Southampton run a service offering benefits advice: free and comprehensive information on a wide range of subjects affecting older people – from Pension Credit to care packages. They say “We can help you identify the problem, explain the choices available and help you decide what you want to do.” Tel 02380 368636 or apply through the website.
Padwell Road Day Centre, run by Age UK is a lively friendly fun Day Centre for people living with dementia or other problems. It is situated just off the Inner Avenue, and costs £55 per day plus £9 for a lovely hot lunch. For more information
