Autumn sees a major Festival of Culture her in Southampton , see below.
We’d love to see you at our Tea Dance on Tuesday 6th October – do reserve your places using the link below – it’s always a fun time for all.
This week we’ve got Singing by Heart starting again after the summer break, Time Together Memory Cafe at Sholing and Lordshill Cafe will be opening this month’s memory box. Dave will be hosting the monthly Men’s Meet on Tuesday and there is of course the usual weekly activities advertised later on in this email.

The Romsey Dementia Action Group (ROMDAG) DemFest festival takes place on Sunday, September 13, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Sir Harald Hillier Gardens, in Romsey.
A free open event offering support, inspiration, and guidance for families, individuals, and carers affected by dementia and cognitive conditions.
Live music, circus skills and children’s entertainment with Juggling Jake, sports, outdoor activities, and expert advice.

Southampton residents and visitors are once again being invited to step inside the city’s remarkable medieval past this September, as Heritage Open Days returns with free opportunities to explore some of the city’s most historic places, including rarely seen spaces and hidden gems across the Old Town between Friday 11 to Sunday 20 September. Men’s Meets
For all men, caring for someone living with dementia. We would love you to join us for a walk and a catch up. We will meet at the Cowherds on the Common on Tuesday 8th September at 1pm for a short stroll, back to the Cowherds for some lunch and chat and should be finished by 3pm. Singing By Heart
1st Monday of the month at Snowdrop Place Care Home, Pavilion Road, Hedge End, SO30 2ZS. 11.00am-12.45pm with light lunch after. Singing by Heart is an hour session singing a mixture of Christian songs and well-known secular songs that people with dementia will know and be able to interact with.
