Chatbot

Southampton City Council has launched ‘Chatbot’ which is an artificial intelligence digital assistant. It has been introduced to help people get answers to questions relating to a number of Council Services quickly, including key online services, news and information from Southampton City Council.

3. REPORTING A NOISE  ‘NUISANCE’

If you can, it might be useful to approach the ‘nuisance’ directly in the first instance either through direct conversation, if possible, or a polite note through the door explaining your situation if you do not know the person concerned.

To report a nuisance to Southampton City Council, click on: https://www.southampton.gov.uk/environmental-issues/

Then select  ‘Report a noise nuisance’ from the list in Item (4) below. If you click on the latter, you can select the type of noise and then send your problem details directly to the Department with responsiblity.

Note: If the noise nuisance is from an HMO, as HMOs are Licensed, you could also contact the HMO Licencing Team at Southampton City Council.

4. REPORTING AN ENVIRONMENTAL OR OTHER RELATED ISSUE

REPORTING HAZARDOUS WASTE and anything that does not fall within the Police remit but has links to crime and anti-social behaviour  – needles, sharps, broken glass, spillages, fly tipping, car parking, dog fouling, dead animals or other dangerous items you have seen on a road, pavement or public space
