Hi All!
A New Year begins and we hope it will be a good one for you. Our usual pattern of Memory Café meets starts again this week and we look forward to seeing you all. We try and include a few extra things happening across the city and if there’s something you know about and think others would be interested in, let us and we may be able to include it.

Singing By Heart
Hedge End Salvation Army, White’s Way SO30 2GL
11.00-12.00 with light refreshments after.
Singing by Heart is an hour session singing a mixture of Christian songs and well-known secular songs that people with dementia will know and be able to interact with. 10 till 12 midday, every Monday morning, start the week with a friendly coffee and chat session, activities too.

Join us for an afternoon of pampering with a Nail bar, hand massages, nice smells and some chair based exercise to start the new year off well.

6th January – Teapot
1st Monday of each month, 2.30 – 4.30pm, come and chat, read newspapers, do some craft and enjoy a cuppa with homemade cake selection to meet friends old and new. No need to book, just turn up. Parking behind church.

13th January – Supper Club
Usually on the 2nd Tuesday of the month 5.45pm for a three course meal at 6pm prompt. You need to book by the previous Sunday (12th January) signing Menu on Café or Car Park notice boards or ring Liz on 07789 501249 by that Sunday to check and book a place. Donations only for meal that is followed by a brief devotion including a hymn.

Homemade Fish and Chips lunchtime for elderly members of the community who would otherwise be eating on their own from 12pm. Booking is essential, please call Mayflower Court on 02380 670200.

Omega Café: Drop in anytime from 10 until 12. Free tea, coffee, cake, and chat.
Armchair exercise: Starts at 10am for about 25 minutes. Led by a qualified instructor; light exercise whilst still sitting! Donations welcome.
Community Lunch: At Midday. Food varies between jacket potatoes, ploughman’s, quiche, soup, breakfast rolls and pizza to name a few. Donations welcome.

Southampton Park Walk
Meet @ the Hawthorns Café, SO15 7NN, Southampton Common at 9am. The meet point is by the start of park run between 2 oak trees close to Hawthorns but not outside it, look for the steward in high vis jacket labelled “Park Walker”. All Welcome! For a gentle 5km walk around the Common, many go to Hawthorns Café for a coffee and chat after.
