February here already! We begin our monthly meets at our Memory Cafes, hope to see you at one of them. As we’ve mentioned before, if you know of something extra happening that might be of interest to others do let us know and we might be able to include it in this weekly news.

Singing By Heart
Hedge End Salvation Army, White’s Way SO30 2GL
11.00-12.00 with light refreshments after.
Singing by Heart is an hour session singing a mixture of Christian songs and well-known secular songs that people with dementia will know and be able to interact with. 1st Monday of each month, 2.30 – 4.30pm, come and chat, read newspapers, do some craft and enjoy a cuppa with homemade cake selection to meet friends old and new. No need to book, just turn up. Parking behind church.

11th February – Supper Club
Usually on the 2nd Tuesday of the month 5.45pm for a three course meal at 6pm prompt. You need to book by the previous Sunday (9th February) signing Menu on Café or Car Park notice boards or ring Liz on 07789 501249 by that Sunday to check and book a place. Donations only for meal that is followed by a brief devotion including a hymn.

Southampton Park Walk
Meet @ the Hawthorns Café, SO15 7NN, Southampton Common at 9am. The meet point is by the start of park run between 2 oak trees close to Hawthorns but not outside it, look for the steward in high vis jacket labelled “Park Walker”. All Welcome! For a gentle 5km walk around the Common, many go to Hawthorns Café for a coffee and chat after.
