Hi All
As we begin a new month check out the dates for this week’s Memory Cafés. We also invite you to our next inspirational evening on Thursday 6th March on how churches can address dementia. If interested details are below for you to book your place.
Please note that while we are happy to be advertising other events across the city for you to be aware of, we are not able to check weekly to confirm they are happening, so we do encourage you to contact the relevant venue before travelling.

Singing By Heart
Hedge End Salvation Army, White’s Way SO30 2GL
11.00-12.00 with light refreshments after.
Singing by Heart is an hour session singing a mixture of Christian songs and well-known secular songs that people with dementia will know and be able to interact with. St. Denys Memory Café

Every 1st & 3rd Tuesday each month, from 2-4pm. Join us for activities, cuppa, cake and chat.
John will be serving special coffees from his magic machine and we have some chocolate and foody quizes and puzzles. Do come!
Thornhill Memory Café
Medwall Court, Tatwin Road, Thornhill, SO19 6JS
First Tuesday of every month, from 2-4pm with Admiral Nurse present. We will be taking part in Dementia UKs ‘Time for a Cuppa’. Come along to enjoy some tea and cake. If you would like to donate, we will have a collection box for Dementia UK.

Every 1st Wednesday each month, from 2-4pm. With tea, coffee, cake and friendship. All are welcome whether diagnosed or not, do come along and meet with others going through similar experiences. Sensory Session this week, nice smells and a quiz game to identify smells. Nail bar done by volunteers. Colouring available too.

Wednesday 5th March, 2-3.30pm. A friendly session where carers and those they care for can come in, meet those in similar situations, talk, quiz, with hot drinks and cake. No need to book.
Talking Finance
Thursday 6th March, 12.30-4.30pm
A session talking about such topics from power of attorney, wills, probate provided by a local solicitor; financial scams and how to protect yourself provided by Hedge End police; & the pros and cons of equity release provided by Alresford Financial. – Lunch provided – Need to book in advance to cater for numbers.
