Another report: street drinkers – outside Flagship Coffee / in the cycle hub and seating area opposite

Another WA Group representative reported online to the police on Sunday 20 July 2025 that on Friday 18 July 2025 there were street drinkers in the above location. They were hiding behind/leaning against the Bus-gate furniture/lying on the ground and one was seated. They were loud and noisy. They left bags and rolled up sleeping bags in the area and kept coming and going, regularly going back to congregate in the area to drink and attracting more street drinkers. All had open cans/bottles of what looked like alcohol. Later, they were joined by other street drinkers which must have been quite intimidating for anyone visiting Flagship Coffee as this is directly opposite their entrance door.

Already reported to the police by three or four people separately with one report to Community Safety. One received notification from the police that “We will send it to the right people”. The other saying “They don’t need to do anything”. An automatic email response from Community Safety referred them to the police.
