Activities organised by the City Rangers this half-term week at the Hawthorn Urban Wildlife Centre, and information on ‘Young Rangers Conservation Volunteering’

October Half Term FREE trail at the Hawthorns – Below is a poster advertising the October half-term free trail at the Hawthorn Urban Wildlife Centre on Southampton Common. The Hawthorns is open Sundays 10am – 3pm throughout the year and additionally on Wednesdays in school holidays from 10am to 3pm. During school holiday openings, there is always a free trail. This time it is an amphibian and reptile themed trail for both Sundays and the Wednesday in half term.

Young Rangers Conservation Volunteering: the first ‘Young Rangers’ session was last Saturday 18th October. This group is for 16-23 year olds and is a monthly Saturday on the Common with a weekday planned in school holidays too. The next session is this Thursday 30th October.
