As part of the week long city-wide ‘Urban Wild’ events being held from 26 May to 1 June, Friends of Portswood Rec are hosting a free children’s event: ‘Wild Wonders – Bees, Bugs and Beasties’, suitable for primary age children – tomorrow 27 May!

This will take place tomorrow Tuesday 27 May at Portswood Rec between 1030 and 1230.

They will be hosting “a morning of nature-friendly, wildly wonderous family activities ….. “come and find out everything from bug-hunting to dead-hedge building! And there’s a welcome return for Lizzie and Les of Puppet Back-up (see link below), with ‘performances’ starting 11am and 12 noon. It’s all free-of-charge (donations optional), including drinks and snacks!”

In case of bad weather, look out for an announcement on the website and social media on the morning. They will still carry on, relocating to the Scout Hut in Brickfield Road with a slightly reduced programme.
