Many of us attended or watched the Remembrance Sunday events last week and observed the 2 minutes silence. Memories are important and that’s why we support the many Memory Cafes happening across the city. Check our weekly email for where and when and we hope to see you there.
Reframing Dementia – a new group has started for those with a recent diagnosis of dementia and will meet on the 1st & 3rd Monday of the week.
Date for your diary – we invite you to join us for our Christmas Service at 6pm on Tuesday 9th December at St. James Methodist Church, Shirley.
Carers Course – new course begins on Tuesday 6th January 2026 in Maybush. Do you know someone who needs some help?

Shirley Memory Café
Make & Brew Café, St James Road, SO15 5HE
From 2-4pm, 3rd Monday each month. Come along to enjoy some tea and cake with others living with dementia. As we begin to prepare for Christmas, join in with some seasonal craft activities.
Townhill Park Memory Café
Townhill Farm Community Centre, Wessex Road, Townhill Park, SO18 3RA.
1-3pm, meets the 3rd Monday of the month. You’ll always be sure of a warm welcome, with a cuppa and cake. Time to chat and different activities each month. This month Sally Ann will be coming along to talk about how we can prevent falls. More information from Jo Frost.
