We hope you all coped with the steamy weather this week, some record temperatures we’ve not seen before, phew! Our cafes continue to meet whatever the weather and we hope to see some of you next week. There are 2 venues hosting a Holiday @ Home this year so don’t forget to book your places, Highfield Church have an all day ‘visit’ to Ireland on Tuesday 7th July and St. James’ by the Park, Shirley, have an afternoon ‘ visit’ on Thursday 16th July. Reframing Dementia
Meets Monday 29th June, 10.30am to 12 noon. A safe place for those who have recently received a diagnosis of dementia. More details above or contact Karen or Dave for further information. You can just turn up on the day.

This day is dementia friendly and you can attend for the whole day, lunch included, or just morning or afternoon session.

Men’s Meets
For all men, caring for someone living with dementia. We would love you to join us for a walk and a catch up. We will meet at the Cowherds on the Common on Tuesday 7th July at 1pm for a short stroll, back to the Cowherds for some lunch and chat and should be finished by 3pm. Singing By Heart
11.00-12.45 with light refreshments after. School term time only.
Singing by Heart is an hour session singing a mixture of Christian songs and well-known secular songs that people with dementia will know and be able to interact with. Armchair exercise: Starts at 10am for about 25 minutes. Led by a qualified instructor; light exercise whilst still sitting! Donations welcome.
Community Lunch: At Midday. Food varies between jacket potatoes, ploughman’s, quiche, soup, breakfast rolls and pizza to name a few. Donations welcome.
