Are you a carer? Are you registered with Unpaid Carers in Southampton? If not check out the notice below to find out more information on how they can help in various ways. Also Age UK in Southampton can offer help with a range of subjects, again more information below.
We have a few gatherings this week where you’re welcome to join us, Sholing Memory Cafe has Uke Box Glory playing and singing with them, Chai and Chat on Wednesday and Lordshill Memory Cafe on Thursday. More information on venues and times are below.
And don’t forget to book your place if you’d like to join in with this year’s Holiday@Home to Ireland, hosted by Highfield Church on 7th July. See below on how to do this.

Highfield Church are hosting this year’s Holiday@Home on Tuesday 7th July and you are invited to join in. More details on the flyer above. This day is dementia friendly and you can attend for the whole day, lunch included, or just morning or afternoon session.

Singing By Heart
4th Monday of the month at Hedge End Salvation Army, White’s Way, SO30 2GL.
11.00-12.45 with light refreshments after. School term time only.
Singing by Heart is an hour session singing a mixture of Christian songs and well-known secular songs that people with dementia will know and be able to interact with. Come and join the monthly chai and chat. If you are a caregiver coming with someone, these friendly sessions offer the opportunity to learn more about cognitive impairment and dementia, meet and share experiences with like minded people.
