September races to an end and we’ve been blessed with some more sunshine. Don’t forget to book your place for our Tea Dance next month – Tuesday 6th October, details are below.
Cafes meeting next week include Sholing on Monday, where they’ll be playing some timbrels, Chai & Chat, meeting at The Wickets on Wednesday, and the usual Coffee, Cake & Connect at Lordshill on Thursday. We look forward to seeing you.

AgeUK in Southampton run a service offering benefits advice: free and comprehensive information on a wide range of subjects affecting older people – from Pension Credit to care packages. They say “We can help you identify the problem, explain the choices available and help you decide what you want to do.” Tel 02380 368636 or apply through the website.
Padwell Road Day Centre, run by Age UK is a lively friendly fun Day Centre for people living with dementia or other problems. It is situated just off the Inner Avenue, and costs £55 per day plus £9 for a lovely hot lunch. For more information

Singing By Heart
4th Monday of the month at Hedge End Salvation Army, White’s Way, SO30 2GL.
11.00-12.45 with light refreshments after. Singing by Heart is an hour session singing a mixture of Christian songs and well-known secular songs that people with dementia will know and be able to interact with. Come and join the monthly chai and chat. If you are a caregiver coming with someone, these friendly sessions offer the opportunity to learn more about cognitive impairment and dementia, meet and share experiences with like minded people.
