Below we list our Memory Cafés for next week and do check out the extras we’ve got happening this term. Due to illness we are having to postpone the start of our next Bereavement Course so there’s still time to book, see new dates below. Don’t forget to book your place(s) to join us at our popular Tea Dance on 7th October at St. Denys.

Buffet and Bowls
Unpaid Carers Support Southampton, in collaboration with Communicare, have their next buffet and bowls session on 25th September 2025, 12.30pm – 3pm at Atherley Bowling Club. To book your place click here!

Book your places on our Tea Dance on Tuesday 7th October at St. Denys Church Centre. Come along and join in the dancing or just listen to the music and enjoy afternoon tea. We will be raising funds for Caraway and the event will be dementia friendly. For more information contact Caraway.

New Bereavement Course
Pippa and Ros invite you to join a small group to explore and understand your grief alongside others. Due to illness we are delaying our start date to Tuesday 4th November, 10.30am to 12.30pm, and this will run weekly until 9th December.

Singing By Heart
Hedge End Salvation Army, White’s Way, SO30 2GL.
11.00-12.45 with light refreshments after. An hour session singing a mixture of Christian and well-known secular songs that people with dementia will know and be able to interact with. It includes a Bible verse before each song and one line prayer after each song and ends each session with The Lord’s Prayer. Contact lynne.sillence@gmail.com or 07974 372207
Sholing Memory Café

8.30 – 11.30am. Pop in for a cuppa & a piece of cake and chat.

WEDNESDAYS
Omega Café: Drop in anytime from 10 until 12. Free tea, coffee, cake, and chat.
Armchair exercise: Starts at 10am for about 25 minutes. Led by a qualified instructor; light exercise whilst still sitting! Donations welcome.
Community Lunch: At Midday. Food varies between jacket potatoes, ploughman’s, quiche, soup, breakfast rolls and pizza to name a few. Donations welcome.
