“Easy Hand Stitched Ornaments workshop
Join us in making hand-stitched felt decorations – great for the festive season or other occasions.
No experience necessary – the class will guide you through decorating your choice of felt shape with simple sewing stitches to create a tiny work of art – perfect for hanging up at home or to give as a gift.
All materials and tools will be provided, including felt, embroidery thread and needles. You’ll also get a worksheet with useful hints and tips on where to get supplies and find help with developing your stitching skills.
Leading the class is Kate Aspinall, a local textiles enthusiast and fibreholic, who likes to keep her hands busy! Kate is an experienced spinner, knitter and weaver, but of late has been a little bit obsessed with embroidery and other stitchery and looks forward to sharing her experiences with you.
