“Afternoon Tea at The Old Chemist (Bitterne Triangle, 16 Manor Farm Rd) – Saturday 23rd May, 2:30-4pm
What’s on the menu?
– Classic prawn Marie Rose with iceberg lettuce in a granary roll
– Free range roast chicken with fresh tarragon and homemade mayonnaise on white bread
– Cheddar and homemade Branstonish pickle on wholemeal bread
– Mini flaky pastry quiche with spinach, feta and fresh herbs
– Freshly baked scone with homemade jam and clotted cream
– Cherry Chocolate eclairs – classic choux pastry with dark chocolate ganache, cherry pastry cream and fresh English cherries, topped with white chocolate glaze and cocoa nibs
– Blackcurrant bakewell tart – with fresh English blackcurrants, rich shortcrust pastry and a classic almond frangipane filling
– Classic coffee and walnut cake
£27 per person
– Homemade pink lemonade £5 – a refreshing zingy lemonade made with organic whole lemons and raspberries for that pretty in pink vibe!
– English Breakfast Tea, Earl Grey Tea, Decaf Tea, Fresh mint tea, Coffee
