Poetry Open Mic Night Friday 20th September from 6.30pm.
There is a growing hub of authors, poets and storytellers in Portswood – something we’ve always celebrated and championed here at October Books. Whether you’re a poet, playwright, essayist or novelist, reading your own work or someone else’s, all are welcome!
This event is a fundraiser for October Books to ensure we can continue offering a stream of events throughout the year.

Writing as Spiritual Practice
Our first collaboration with Matt West at ArtfulScribe, we are really excited to be hosting a series of Writing as Spiritual Practice sessions in our Community Space. The sessions are every other Tuesday 10 til 12 midday, starting 24th September (8th and 22nd October, 5th and 19th November and 3rd and 17th December for future sessions). These workshops will be raising funds for both October Books and for ArtfulScribe Book your tickets here
