Exciting things are happening at the Turner Sims Concert Hall. This is what they tell us!

Following April’s funding news of major Capital investment from the University of Southampton, Arts Council England’s Creative Foundations Fund and a generous donor to make Turner Sims fully accessible for the first time in its 50-year history, the Turner Sims box office reception will close on Friday 26 June at 4.30pm and, from this date, the building will be closed for the summer. The Box Office (and the building!) will reopen on Monday 14 September at 1.30pm, and will then revert to normal hours: 1.30pm – 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Works will commence on a step-free route from the main entrance to the stage, installation of a new accessible toilet, alongside toilet upgrades, remodelled accessible office spaces and widening the corridors.

During closure, the Box Office phone line is open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 1.30pm – 4.30pm, from Tuesday 30 June to Wednesday 9 September. You can still email them at info@turnersims.co.uk or leave them a message on 023 8059 5151 and they will respond as soon as possible during their opening hours. Tickets, memberships and gift vouchers will still be available for purchase online throughout this period at https://www.turnersims.co.uk/
