For Energy Action Month – there is a talk at Avenue St Andrew’s URC this Wednesday 21st October 7.30-9pm

This is part of Southampton’s Energy Action Month organised by Transition Southampton (who are behind the Repair cafés) and the Southampton Environment Centre. “The evening will be a very interesting talk and relaxed panel discussion on the new opportunities to save energy and cost, make your home more comfortable (heating and cooling) and help support wider climate & nature goals, and where and how to get good free advice.

*Opposite the Common and Northlands Road, The Avenue SO17 1XQ”

“Linked to that, over the whole of October, is Green Open Homes when you have an opportunity to visit a home and hear from ordinary householders the reality of heat pump, solar panels, insulation and other energy saving measures as well as domestic water-saving, food growing, low impact travel. Need to book – see link: http://www.greenopenhomes.org . You’ll see what each home has to offer, the approximate location & the type of property.”
