Just a reminder that it’s the Friends of Portswood Library’s 10th Birthday tomorrow, Saturday 3 August (2024)!

Join them to celebrate at Portswood Library with coffee and cake from 10.30am to 12.30pm – all welcome!

A week ago, David Wardell, Chair of Friends of Portswood Library (pictured below), told HRA:

“Portswood Library is a much loved asset which has been serving the community for over a century. However, these days libraries rely on footfall for their continued existence. The Friends of Portswood Library have hosted many events and talks to help drive this, and raise awareness of the many facilities that the library has to offer. I’m very grateful to the Highfield Residents’ Association, and other bodies, who have steadfastly helped us to spread the word.”

So PLEASE use your local library and join them from 10.30am to 12.30pm tomorrow, Saturday 3rd August, to celebrate their 10th Birthday with free coffee and cake – all welcome!
