In Highfield Close, off Brookvale Road: Attractive sunken garden and fountain in Highfield Close. Ellis Martin, well known OS map illustrator and local water colourist, lived at no 6.

In Highfield Church yard:
Sir Sidney Kimber, Mayor of Southampton from 1918-1920 and then Alderman, lived in Highfield. He helped shape modern day Southampton. Remembered by the ‘Kimber’ porch, designed by E. Berry Webber for Highfield Church, he is buried in Highfield Church yard.
