Portswood Wastewater Treatment Plant
On Meridian News today, Friday 15th November, at 6pm, local man Gavin Millar will be interviewed about the continuing problems with waste water discharges into the River Itchen from the Portswood Wastewater Treatment Plant. In addition to the sheer level of harmful liquid discharges from Southern Water’s inefficient and out of date facility, the plant also releases appalling odours that escape all year round. Some HRA members have been contributing to a local Citizen Science Group, recording and tracking the release of these odours.
