UPCOMING EVENTS!
Tuesday 10th September 2 till 4 pm, the Salty Sea Dogs Singers are coming to St Denys Memory Cafe, which will be held in the church, St Denys Church, Dundee Road

Tuesday October 1st is the International Day of the Older Person and Caraway will be holding a Tea Dance at St Denys Church Centre, 2 till 4pm. Live music from Second Wind, dancing, and dance demonstrations, raffle, afternoon tea and fun and laughter. Please come. It’s free but you must book your place. Caraway Carers Course
Calling all Carers of someone with dementia. Are you struggling to cope with your situation? Would you like to find out more about how to live well with dementia, and to meet health professionals who can help you? Then come to our carers course, the next one starts on 9th September, 1 till 3 pm at St Mary’s Church, Sholing. No cost but donations welcome.

Singing By Heart: Hedge End Salvation Army, White’s Way SO30 2GL, from 11.00-12.00 with light refreshments after. Singing by Heart is an hour session singing a mixture of Christian songs and well-known secular songs that people with dementia will know and be able to interact with. Southampton Park Walk: Meet @ the Hawthorns Café, SO15 7NN. Meeting at the café on Southampton Common at 9am. The meet point is by the start of park run between 2 oak trees close to Hawthorns but not outside it, look for the steward in high vis jacket labelled “Park Walker”. All Welcome! For a gentle 5km walk around the Common, many go to Hawthorns Café for a coffee and chat after. |
