I am writing to provide an update on the protest activity that took place on Thursday 30th October 2025.
The event drew a number of attendees, including both demonstrators and counter-protestors. Police were present throughout to ensure public safety and facilitate a peaceful protest. I can confirm that no arrests were made, and there was no requirement for the use of additional police powers.
We continue to monitor the situation closely and remain in regular contact with community representatives to support a balanced and safe approach to any future gatherings.
At this stage, it is anticipated that protests at this location may continue a weekly basis.
A proportionate policing plan remains in place, and we will continue to work closely with you and the wider community to manage these events safely and effectively.
