Summer is well under way and we have been seeing some hot days. We hope that whether you enjoy the heat or not, you are least able to enjoy the sunny, bright days. Another month begins and below are some of the cafes meeting this week.
It’s not too late to book your free ticket to attend the informative date at St. Mary’s Stadium on Tuesday July 1st 10am till 1 pm
and
Highfield Church are hosting this year’s holiday @ Home with all things Italian on 8th July – details on how to book your place are below.

Men’s Meets
For all men, caring for someone living with dementia. We would love you to join us for a walk and a catch up. Change of venue and day this month, we will start at Riverside Car Park, on Manor Farm Road, (the large one nearest to Woodmill Lane end), walk along the River Itchen to Mansbridge Bridge, followed by refreshments at Woodmill Coffee Kitchen. Singing By Heart
Hedge End Salvation Army, White’s Way SO30 2GL
11.00-12.45 with light refreshments after. School term time only.
Singing by Heart is an hour session singing a mixture of Christian songs and well-known secular songs that people with dementia will know and be able to interact with. It includes a Bible verse before each song and one line prayer after each song and ends each session with The Lord’s Prayer. Contact: lynne.sillence@gmail.com or 07974 372207
Teapot
Make & Brew, St. James Methodist Church, St. James Road, Shirley, SO15 5HE
2.30 – 4.30pm, come and chat, read newspapers, do some craft and enjoy a cuppa with homemade cake selection to meet friends old and new. No need to book, just turn up. Parking behind church.
Bereavement Café
Last Monday of each month, 2 – 4pm, for support and friendship, cuppa and biscuits. No need to book, but further information available from Maureen Syed Tel: 07818 851854

Omega Café: Drop in anytime from 10 until 12. Free tea, coffee, cake, and chat.
Armchair exercise: Starts at 10am for about 25 minutes. Led by a qualified instructor; light exercise whilst still sitting! Donations welcome.
Community Lunch: At Midday. Food varies between jacket potatoes, ploughman’s, quiche, soup, breakfast rolls and pizza to name a few. Donations welcome.

Visit the Pavilion in the Park at 1, Kingfisher Road, Eastleigh SO50 9LH for a bespoke cycling experience.
